If everyone in the world were like a pebble on a beach…
Like a pebble on the beach, we are one amongst many. Look closely, however, and you can see how original we are. Be it in our colour, our texture, our curves and our edges, though closely related, we are each our own. We can do our thing and carve our own path, but safely together, one for all, all for one.
Like a pebble on the beach, we are one amongst many. Unidentifiable, perhaps, at a distance, but each with a character, our own touch of sass. Working together, we can keep back the sea. We can welcome it, be shaped by it, but fiercely hold our own.
Some will push to stand out ahead. Perhaps they’ll put on a show and skim the water a few times. But all that is to be gained is that short moment of triumph when plucked from the pack, before being tossed out to sea, back to obscurity where no one can see.
Much better to stay as a pebble on the beach, yourself amongst loved ones, a team of the unique. Some are big, mighty and powerful, protecting the smaller, the weaker, the needy. But not all need to dominate and roar. Small and mighty, some fill in the gaps and smooth the way. Power is found in the quietness, waiting peaceful in the perfect place. For everyone has their place.
Like a pebble on the beach, we are one amongst many. A wonderful thing, don’t you think?
